HEY, I'M DENI

I make silver and gold gemstone jewellery in my workshop in Wales, with the intention of inviting a deeper connection to our bodies and our inner wisdom. Im mostly inspired by the female form, bringing whats inside, out, and my lived experience of chronic illness. 

I started silversmithing in 2016, teaching myself how to solder in my dads garden shed. It began as a coping mechanism, helping me move through and process life, and has since  turned into a practice to reconnect with my body, how it’s seen, how it’s judged and how I live within it.

My work draws on myth and feminine archetypes that speak to me. I’m less interested in jewellery as decoration and more in jewellery as a way to hold and integrate something, a tension or polarity, an inner conflict or bringing light to the parts of ourselves we’re taught to hide.
